Mapping Out
An on site installation commissioned by the For-Site foundation, the project was designed to disrupt the usual concepts and methodologies that define mapping
a territory. A bedrock mortar, a feature discovered in the landscape while on
site that provided multiple portals for performing an experimental mapping-out,
a mapping that returns to the original idea of a process of exploration and discovery. Converting the grinding mortars to individual pinhole cameras, the images revealed what is looks back at us, while at the same time defying
the anthropocentric use of systems and grids, the inverted view is decentered, circular and fragmented. The project and subsequent imagery was documented
in The Map, The View , The Sample.
