Guide by Cell Audio Tour

The third project in anthology of aural projects investigating the role of ‘the guide’
was a collaborative audio tour that invited participants to use their cell phones
to serve as a tool to experience a exercise in spatial production. The sound pieces were experienced by participants in a deserted institutional hallway and could
be accessed only by cell phone. The invisible works shifted the emphasis away from the anticipated visual approach to experiencing artwork. The contributing artists, through their use of memory and imagination and desire, invited a reflection on how space symbolically perceived as pre-existing, evolves dynamically in
an ongoing process of temporal negotiations experienced both individually and collectively, consciously and unconsciously.
